ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1

Seville

Welcome to Andalusia! Spain's exotic southern region is famous for its Moorish architecture and the sounds of Flamenco echoing through the narrow streets. Upon arrival, your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury hotel. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. Ask your travel consultant for recommendations of their favorite restaurants, cafes, and bars.

DAY 2

Seville - Seville Walking Tour

Today's tour will take you through the beautiful streets of Seville's unique city center. Accompanied by your expert guide you will stroll around the streets, learn about the town’s history, and visit the most important landmarks. Walk the Santa Cruz Quarter, the old Jewish section and the most enchanting of Seville, with narrow and winding cobblestone streets and whitewashed facades, visiting the interior of the Cathedral and the Reales Alcazares. The Alcazar is the oldest Royal Palace still in use in the whole of Europe, and it was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as World Heritage. The Cathedral is the biggest one in the Gothic style of the world, with a wooden main altar. It is in the same place since the 12th century, so it was a Mosque in the past, from which it remained only the minaret, now called “La Giralda” where the bells are located.

DAY 3

Seville

Spend a day on your own indulging in the rich culture and delicious food of Seville. In the evening you may want to see a traditional Flamenco show. Ask your leisure travel consultant about their favorite entertainment and nightlife spots in Seville.

DAY 4

Seville, Cordoba, Granada

On your way to Granada, you will stop in the historic town of Cordoba and enjoy a tour. This beautiful town waits for you to explore it, accompanied by your professional guide. Not many places in the world can say they have been the capital of Hispania Ulterior (Further Spain) under the Roman Empire and the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate. The UNESCO organization recognized the universal importance of Cordoba's historic legacy and extended the title of World Heritage Site not only to the Mosque-Cathedral but also to all the streets and buildings surrounding it. The structure of this Mosque-Cathedral is regarded as one of the most accomplished monuments of Moorish architecture. It was originally a church built by the Visigoths and it has been a witness and victim of historical fights between Muslims and Christians since 711 when the Muslims first conquered Spain. The Medieval Synagogue is a historic building in the Jewish Quarter, built-in 1315. After the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, the building was devoted to various functions including a hydrophobic hospital, a chapel for shoemakers, and a nursery school.

DAY 5

Granada – Alhambra Tour

Located on a rocky hill on the banks of the Darro River and protected by mountains and amongst the eldest quarter of the city, the Alhambra rises like an imposing castle with its distinctive reddish stone in its ramparts that prevent the outside world from seeing the delicate beauty enclosed within. The Alhambra ranks among the world’s finest examples of Islamic art with carved cedarwood, stucco work, and gorgeous mosaics. Originally designed as a military fortress, the Alhambra became the site of the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella (where Christopher Columbus received royal endorsement for his expedition). The complex is formed by the stunning Moorish palaces and the Palace of King Charles V, a Renaissance building, inside the Nasrid fortification of the Alhambra, as well as the Alcazaba fortress and an opposite independent palace: The Generalife, which is surrounded by orchards, greenery and fountains that keep the palace cool and beautiful gardens that welcome the visitor.

DAY 6

Granada

Spend a relaxing day and explore the city at your own pace. You can stroll around the labyrinth of streets and the vibrant local culture of Granada, have a walk in the Albaicín neighborhood, and watch a Flamenco show with some tapas in one of the caves. The town offers a myriad of sightseeing options and its beautiful architecture will captivate you.

DAY 7

Granada, Malaga

After breakfast, your private driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Malaga. Upon arrival, check into your luxury hotel, and enjoy an afternoon exploring the city at your own speed. Optionally, you may choose to enrich your transfer to Malaga with a stop at the Caminito del Ray gorge.

DAY 8

Malaga – Malaga Walking Tour

Immerse yourself in history and culture and discover Malaga with this tour that will take you around the city’s most important sites, monuments, and museums: The Central Market (Atarazanas), the Plaza de la Constitución, The Manquita, as the malagueños know its Cathedral, the Alcazaba (fortress-palace antecedent of the Alhambra), the Roman Theatre and Larios street, at the very heart of the city and where there is the choice of the best bars and stores. No exploration of Malaga can be finished until you pay a visit to the Picasso Museum, which hosts the collection of the Picasso family. You will discover the most intimate works of Picasso, as well as the changes that he introduced in the painting throughout his life. Finally, you will conclude your visit to Picasso's birthplace located on Plaza de la Merced.

DAY 9

Malaga – Ronda Half Day Tour

Today you will visit the famous Ronda, one of Spain´s most surprising towns. After arriving in Ronda and meeting your private guide you will begin exploring one of the oldest cities in Spain. Ronda retains much of its historic charm, particularly its old town. It is famous worldwide for its dramatic escarpments and views, and for the deep El Tajo Gorge that carries the Guadalevín River through its center. The 18th century Puente Nuevo “new bridge”, straddles the 100m chasms below, and offers unparalleled views out over the Serranía de Ronda Mountains. Ronda is also famous as the birthplace of modern bullfighting, today glimpsed once a year at the spectacular Feria Goyesca.
