Group Travel Sales and Events Consultant
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the day-by-day plan of action for assigned programs including planning, communications, travel engagement, logistics, data management, third-party purchasing, budget development/management, and financial reporting.
- Requires high level of project management.
- Provide strategic direction with client to develop group travel or meeting objectives, maximize impact of events and communication.
- Provide a high level of customer service and guidance in handling problem resolutions.
- Manage Sourcing, Budgeting, Reporting, Program Analysis, Travel Registration and Travel Communication.
- Oversee and manage event details, including budget development, transportation manifests, agendas, meeting materials, etc.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and comply with financial profitability and pricing targets.
- Proven ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize effectively while managing multiple projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment as a contributor.
- Incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate, and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualified applicants should have:
- Fluent spoken and written English is required.
- Impeccable attention to detail is required.
- Must be team oriented, extremely motivated, and able to work independently.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of costs and travel packages building.
- Excellent command of MS office suite and strong computer skills.
- 3+ years of experience in the travel industry, and/or in an international environment
- 2+ years managing group travel programs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Compensation is based on experience and includes salary and monthly bonuses for meeting sales targets.
