Help Shape the Next Stage of Our Accounting Department

Travelive is a collection of 11 fully owned and operated Destination Management Companies with dedicated local teams across Europe and the Mediterranean, operating in a dynamic, multi-company, multi-currency environment.

As Travelive continues to grow, we're creating a new Accounting Operations Senior Manager position within our Accounting Department.

This is a full-time, in-office position based at our EU Headquarters in Voula, Athens, Greece. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, you'll combine accounting expertise with operational oversight while acting as the primary point of contact for travel advisors, agency accounting teams, consortia, and clients on accounting, billing, commission, and payment matters.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key operational and client-facing responsibilities while helping strengthen the Accounting Department.

Responsibilities include:

Accounting Operations

Support the Director of Accounting in overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department
Review financial records, reconciliations, and accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion
Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency
Prepare financial reports, analyses, and documentation to support business decisions
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure financial information is communicated accurately and efficiently
Resolve complex accounting matters with accuracy and professionalism

Advisor & Partner Support

Act as the primary point of contact for travel advisors, host agencies, consortia, and clients on accounting, billing, commissions, and payments
Manage payment communications, including deposit confirmations, balance reminders, refund follow-ups, and payment collections
Prepare and follow up on travel insurance quotations while responding to related inquiries from advisors and clients
Process booking change requests and communicate billing updates and financial implications accurately and promptly
Onboard new travel advisor partners by creating profiles, coordinating account setup, and sending welcome communications
Build trusted relationships by delivering responsive, professional, and solution-oriented support
Partner with Sales, Operations, Client Services, and other departments to ensure a seamless experience for advisors and clients

Department Operations

Support the Director of Accounting in driving operational initiatives and cross-departmental projects
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational processes
Provide guidance and support to colleagues on accounting processes and operational matters
Step in for the Director of Accounting when needed to ensure continuity and responsiveness

Qualified applicants should have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational accounting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to work directly with travel advisors, agency accounting teams, clients, and business partners
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Experience in the travel or hospitality industry is an advantage
