Documents Needed:
New Passport
Restrictions:
Effective December 31, 2006, all US citizens traveling to the Caribbean
must have a valid US passport in order to re-enter the US.

Civil Wedding Requirements

Proof of
citizenship - certified copy of birth certificate, which
includes father’s name.

Parent’s
written consent if under 18 years of age.
>
Proof of
divorce if applicable (original certificate of divorce).
>
Certified
copy of death certificate for widow or widower.
>
Italian
nationals celebrating their wedding in Jamaica must notify
their embassy and a certified copy of their marriage
certificate forwarded to their embassy to be legalized and
translated.
>
French
Canadians need a notarized translated copy of all documents and a
photocopy of the original French documents.
>
Blood tests are not required.
>
Additional documentation may be required for religious
ceremonies.
Climate:
Jamaica enjoys a tropical
climate year-round. Yearly average temperature is 81
degrees. It’s two rainy months are May and October.
Currency and Credit Cards:
The official currency is the Jamaican
Dollar. Credit cards are widely accepted on the island.
