Documents Needed:
New Passport
Restrictions:
Effective December 31, 2006, all US citizens traveling to the Caribbean
must have a valid US passport in order to re-enter the US.
Wedding Requirements:
Couples who wish to get married in Bermuda must file a
“Notice of Intended Marriage” form or request one from the
Bermuda Registrar General’s office or the Bermuda Department
of Tourism office nearest you.
Fill out the form and mail it back to the Registrar General
along with a cashier’s check or bank draft made payable to
the Accountant General, Hamilton, Bermuda, in the amount of
BM$234 (includes certificate). Copies of final divorce
decrees or death certificates, if applicable, must also be
included.
This submitted notice will result in a wedding license valid
for three months. You or a designated person may pick up
this license at the Registrar office.
Ensure you have two witnesses.
Climate:
During April through October Bermuda enjoys summer-like
temperatures with the warmest weather July through
September. Temperature rarely top 85°F. November through
March brings spring-like temperatures, with temperatures
sometimes dipping into the 60’s. October through December,
as well as March and April, can bring either summer-like
climate or spring
Currency and Credit Cards:
The
official currency is the Bermudian Dollar, although US
currency is widely accepted, as well as major credit cards.
