Las Vegas:
All you Need is Love
Overview:
Las Vegas, an
ever-changing fantasy-land of a city, has seen unbelievable expansion
since it emerged from the desert 100 years ago.
Thirty-seven million visitors enjoy the sights and sounds of Las Vegas
every year. They stay in some of the most glamorous, unique hotels in
the world. They eat at five-star restaurants and expansive buffets. They
play at casinos, pools, health spas and golf courses. Sometimes (many
times, actually) they even marry each other.
You will be dazzled by Vegas, but the sheer number of things to see and
do can seem overwhelming. A little advance planning will help you to
enjoy your Vegas trip.
Weddings:
Whether you are looking for a traditional religious
ceremony, a quick and easy civil service, a wedding party
complete with Elvis, or even a Liberace themed spectacle,
Las Vegas has you covered.
For
convenience, wedding chapels and churches offer a variety of packages,
from very simple to very elaborate. (Contrary to popular belief, many
people put as much effort into planning their Vegas wedding as they
would if they were having it back home.) No wonder Las Vegas has been
one of the world's most popular destinations for weddings for more than
50 years - last year alone, the Marriage Bureau here issued 128,000
licenses!
What's more,
Las Vegas resorts are providing some spectacular traditional weddings
that can see parties of 300 of the bride and groom's friends and family
come to town. Which makes sense: with its endless entertainment
possibilities, Las Vegas is a perfect honeymoon destination - and newly
married couples certainly don't have to worry about keeping friends and
family busy!
Location:
If traveling by air, you
will arrive at Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport.
Several shuttle-bus services operate from airport, while
taxis are also readily available.
It is located 1 mile (1.6 km.) from the Strip, 3.5 miles
(5.6 km.) from the Convention Center and 5 miles (8 km.)
from Downtown Las Vegas.
Accommodations:
Las Vegas has accommodations
for every taste and budget - we'll help you find the hotels
and resorts that are right for you.
