Antigua:
The Island of Many Beaches
The Area:
Welcome
to Antigua...The largest of the British Leeward Islands. All the
signs pointed towards Antigua. The largest of the British Leeward
Islands had warm, steady winds, a complex coastline of safe harbors, and
a protective, nearly unbroken wall of coral reef. It would make a
perfect place to hide a fleet. And so in 1784 the legendary Admiral
Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua and established Great Britain’s most
important Caribbean base. Little did he know that over 200 years later
the same unique characteristics that attracted the Royal Navy would
transform Antigua into one of the Caribbean’s most sought after
destinations.
Antigua is known as the
island of many beaches. With 365 beaches - one for every
day of the year - couples are
assured to find one that suits their tastes. Whether it
is an active beach with water sports, or a secluded
romantic spot, Antigua has something for everyone.
Weddings:
What could be better than
starting your new life together as a married couple in an
elegant, romantic, tropical setting? Whether you
choose to be married right on one of the 365 beaches or in a
wedding gazebos set in the tropical gardens or high above
the bays, your ceremony will be one to remember.
Location:
Antigua is located in the
middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean.
V.C. Bird International Airport, located on the northeast
corner of Antigua, is the point of entry for visitors
arriving by air to Antigua & Barbuda. There are both direct
flights and connections from North America via San Juan and
St. Martin and several weekly flights from Europe.

holiday. A
complete range of hotels and resorts are available for your
