Overview:

Location. The Argonaut Hotel @ Fisherman's Wharf occupies an industrial red-brick warehouse that was originally built in 1907, in San Francisco's highly visible Fisherman's Wharf. The Maritime National Historic Park Visitors Center shares the building and provides guests with a treasure trove of nautical history. Nearby points of interest include North Beach, Ghirardelli Square and the Alcatraz ferry, less than three blocks away.

Hotel Features. Splashed with brilliant reds, navy blues and golden accents, the nautical-themed hotel features 16-foot lobby ceilings and a front desk that resembles a steamer trunk. Festooned with sails and gyroscopes, the lobby also serves as the setting for hosted evening wine receptions and features a wooden-plank floor reminiscent of a ship's deck. In addition to tempting restaurants and area cafes, the hotel's Blue Mermaid serves seafood and charming alfresco dining in a brick alley alongside the hotel.

Guestrooms. The guestroom interiors are outfitted with porthole mirrors, anchor-motif bedding and eclectic throw pillows. All have 27-inch flat-screen televisions, DVD players and complimentary high-speed Internet access. The hotel offers complimentary yoga baskets for guests to use in conjunction with the hotel's 24-hour yoga channel.

Approximate distance to the hotel is 20 miles.

Exit the airport on Hegenberger Road.
Take I-880 North toward Oakland.
Take I-80 West/San Francisco/Bay Bridge. Cross over the Bay Bridge.
Take the Harrison Street exit. Turn right at the first traffic light.
Turn left onto Embarcadero.
